Welcome to the CNYMS web site. Learning about the ABCs (Amanitas, Boletes, and Chanterelles) of Fungi is a great fun. Each month you will find more and more fungi as you become familiar with ’your’ woods. With NEMF coming up, and the Beaver Lake Fungal Fest, we need volunteers and your involvement in CNYMS more than ever. Put the meeting and foray dates on your calendar now for convenience and we’ll see you soon and often! September 26th is CNYMS’s Mushroom Festival at Beaver Lake Nature Center. On Saturday, the club will collect mushrooms at Beaver Lake for display at the Mushroom Festival on Sunday. The Festival will be open to the public and will include food, kids’ activities, items for sale, and a habitat diorama contest for club members. The public is welcome to bring samples for identification too!
