CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Meetings are on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 pm, room 127
Illick Hall at ESF on the SU campus. Forays are at
Sunday at 1:00 pm unless otherwise announced.
2011 Calendar of Events
May 15th Morgan Hill Foray. Come out for our biggest morel
foray. Last year’s crop was bountiful, with many large specimens.
May 16th Meeting at 7:30 pm, Illick Hall. Lauren Goldman,
a PhD student at ESF, will provide a program on sex and fungi – title TBA.
June 20th TBA
June 26th Camillus Forest Unique Area Foray.
This DEC –owned forest is slowly developing characteristics of an old growth
forest. A portion of the forest is ecologically significant.
July An RSVP foray. Anyone interested in mushrooms of the
Thousand Islands/Wellesley Island should call Jean Fahey before the end of
June to make arrangements to visit. Note: there is no meeting scheduled for
this
month.
August 15th Meeting at 7:30 pm, Illick Hall. Program TBA.
August 28th Verona Beach Foray.
September 18th CNYMS’s Mushroom Festival at Beaver Lake
Nature Center. On Saturday, the club will collect mushrooms from CNY for
display at the Mushroom Festival on Sunday. The Festival will be open to the
public and will include food, kids’ activities, items for sale, and more.
The Mid York Mycological Society will also be joining us in this endeavor.

September 19th Meeting at 7:30 pm, Illick Hall. Program
TBA.
October 9th Green Lakes Foray with an End-of-the- Year
Picnic Blast. Bring some food or beverages to share to celebrate another
season of mushrooms.
